APPOINTMENT OF NEW SERJEANT AT ARMS (11 January 2016)
Motion Details
That this House welcomes the appointment of Kamal El-Hajji as the new Serjeant at Arms; notes that Mr El-Hajji is the first ever ethnic minority Serjeant at Arms in the 601 year history of the position; acknowledges the fine job that Bob Twigger did as acting Serjeant at Arms; and wishes the new Serjeant at Arms well in his new position.
