PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
HELMSDALE AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT (16 December 2015)

That this House congratulates the Helmsdale Affordable Housing Project on winning a highly respected SURF Award for Community Led Regeneration; commends the excellent work it has done in successfully creating four new family homes in Helmsdale, a rural village in Sutherland, which will help to address depopulation and decline; acknowledges that the purpose of the SURF Award is to reward best practice and innovation in community regeneration, as a means of sharing experience to enhance future policy and practice; and supports the Helmsdale and District Development Trust in all of its future projects.
