PATRYK TOPOLSKI AND THE HELEN McGREGOR AWARD (1 December 2015)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates Patryk Topolski, winner of this year's Helen McGregor Award; recognises that he is the youngest-ever winner of the award, which is given annually to recognise a significant contribution to a local community by people who give freely of their own time and efforts to improve local communities; further recognises that Patryk, vice-chair of Garrion People's Housing Co-operative Ltd, moved to Gowkthrapple from Poland at the age of 13 in 2007 and joined Garrion's People's Housing Co-operative's Management Committee two years ago, aiming to improve the image of Gowkthrapple; and recognises his work with the GOLD group and his efforts to enhance the quality of life and cultural activities between the Scottish and Polish community.
