WORLD POLIO DAY (21 October 2015)
Motion Details
That this House marks World Polio Day on 24 October 2015 and recognises the incredible immunisation project, started by Rotarians, 30 years ago, to eliminate polio and its debilitating paralysis from the world; and celebrates that Africa has now been polio-free for more than one year but will continue to support active surveillance and the one last push to eliminate polio in the remaining pockets of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
