PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
FREE SCHOOL MEALS FOR CHILDREN (13 October 2015)

Motion Details

That this House is aware that providing children with a nutritious lunch is crucial for their early learning development which helps them take the opportunity to excel at school; recalls that the Chancellor recognised this before the last General Election with the promise to protect free school meals for infants; and is therefore alarmed to hear that he is now seriously considering reneging on this commitment by announcing a cut in this essential provision from any future Government subsidy considerations.
