PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
AYRSHIRE LGBTQ (16 September 2015)

That this House congratulates Ayrshire LGBTQ on becoming the first Scottish LGBTI Community Group of the Year at the inaugural Scottish LGBTI Awards; notes that the award was the result of a public vote and sponsored by Pride Glasgow; commends the volunteers at Ayrshire LGBTI for their hard work in providing advice and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex people in Ayrshire; acknowledges the specific difficulties faced by many LGBTI people in rural communities; and recognises Ayrshire LGBTQ's role in tackling the social isolation felt by many LGBTI people by providing them with a visible presence in their community.
