PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
SISTER RITA DAWSON TO BE MADE A FREEMAN OF WEST DUNBARTONSHIRE (9 September 2015)

That this House welcomes the decision by West Dunbartonshire Council to support a proposal for Sister Rita Dawson MBE, Chief Executive/Matron of St Margaret of Scotland Hospice, to be admitted as a Freeman of West Dunbartonshire; believes that this recognition is testament to the work and dedication that Sister Rita has given to the community since she took up her position in 1986; and wishes to thank Sister Rita for her endeavours to ensure that St Margaret's continues to offer the high quality service to those in need and that this honour is the very least that she deserves for nearly 30 years of unstinting service.
