PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
DIABETES WEEK 12-18 JUNE 2011 (7 June 2011)

That this House recognises that people with diabetes could be risking their health and experiencing emotional distress by keeping their diabetes secret; notes Diabetes Week istaking place from 12 to 18 June 2011; congratulates Diabetes UK for using this week to promote the message `Let's talk diabetes', highlighting the benefits for people with diabetes to talk about their condition; and calls on the Government to take action to ensure the provision of emotional and psychological support as an integral part of a diabetes care package as a matter of priority.
