Motion Details

That this House welcomes Universities Week 2011, running from 13 to 19 June 2011; recognises the benefits of universities within UK society; notes the positive impact universities have on communities locally and globally; further notes the pivotal part they play in UK businesses and their contribution to the economy; highlights the importance of groundbreaking and innovative research being undertaken at institutions around the UK; and therefore acknowledges universities as a great investment for students, the taxpayer and the country as a whole.
