PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
MUSIC EDUCATION (15 February 2011)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the new partnership between the National Union of Teachers and the Musicians Union which will ensure a stronger voice for the promotion of music education in England and Wales; further welcomes the recommendations made by the Henley Review; registers its concern, however, that many music services have already been hit by cuts to local authority budgets; and urges the Government to act quickly to safeguard jobs and music education provision so that every child can have access to quality music education.
