FAMILY BUSINESS SECTOR (2 February 2011)

Motion Details

That this House recognises the role of the family business sector in supporting employment and economic growth, which accounts for one in three jobs in the UK and contributes 30 per cent. of GDP; acknowledges the value of family businesses in terms of corporate stewardship, with a long-term approach to investment and growth; and notes that business families are a crucial breeding ground for entrepreneurial talent and are committed to social responsibility and philanthropy.
