PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
30th ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEATH OF JOHN LENNON (8 December 2010)

Motion Details

That this House notes the 30th anniversary of the death of John Lennon, who was gunned down outside his Dakota buildings home in a senseless act that shook the world; recognises one of Liverpool's most famous sons, not only for his contribution to popular music, but also his campaign for world peace; further notes the John Lennon Peace monument in Liverpool, Peace and Harmony, as an appropriate tribute in honour of his memory; and further recognises commemorations of Lennon's musical legacy in Liverpool, New York and throughout the world.
