LIVERPOOL CRUISE LINER FACILITY (17 November 2010)

Motion Details

That this House recognises Liverpool's rich maritime heritage as the birthplace of the first passenger cruise line; notes the significance of the River Mersey as the lifeblood of Liverpool, the sub-region and the gateway to the North West; welcomes calls by the Leader of Liverpool City Council requesting Ministers to review the case for full turnaround status for its cruise liner facility adjacent to the World Famous Liver Buildings; further notes the growing body of support for such proposals from both the public and private sectors; and calls on the Government to enter into talks with relevant bodies to expedite an early solution to this important matter.
