NOBEL PRIZE FOR PHYSICS AND BRITISH SCIENTISTS (10 October 2010)
Motion Details
That this House congratulates the two British-based scientists Professor Andre Geim and Professor Konstantin Novoselov from the University of Manchester, on being awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics for their experiments with graphene the world's thinnest material; notes that these scientists have not acquired patents for their materials; and encourages the Government to support the intellectual property rights of British-based scientists and the promotion of scientific research and innovation in our educational and research institutions.
