PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
70th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BLITZ (6 September 2010)

Motion Details

That this House remembers with respect and sadness the blitz in London and London's docks which began 70 years agoand the manylives lostand injuries sustained; salutes the courage of those in the fire, ambulance, military and other public services who acted so bravely in London's hour of need; and rejoices that the courage, community spirit and public service of the 1940s of which London is so justly proud continue to be regularly found in the capital city, particularly amongst the older generation who survived the blitz but have not forgotten.
