PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
UNDIAGNOSED DIABETES (7 July 2010)

Motion Details

That this House notes that 1.1 million people in the UK have undiagnosed diabetes and that the total diabetes population of the UK could rise to 5.5 million by 2030; further notes that an early diagnosis of the condition with regular management could reduce risks of complications such as retinopathy, heart disease and kidney failure; and calls on the Government to support organisations such as Diabetes UK and for assessment units to be made available in a variety of locations.
