PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
MILEAGE RATE FOR VOLUNTEER DRIVERS (9 June 2010)

Motion Details

That this House recommends HM Revenue and Customs revisit the 40 pence per mile rate which volunteer drivers are reimbursed for using their own cars with a view to raising the maximum limit; recognises that the rate was set in 2002 when fuel was less costly; and further recognises the impact there would be on the NHS if voluntary car drivers felt they could no longer afford to contribute in this way.
