WORK AND BENEFITS FOR PEOPLE WITH AUTISM (24 May 2010)

Motion Details

That this House recogises that over half of people with autism have spent time with neither jobs nor benefits; further recognises that only 15 per cent. are currently in full-time work; acknowledges that the system is failing people with autism, as over 80 per cent. of people with autism who applied for benefits needed support to do so; agrees that no one should be written off; and calls on the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions to make the system fair for people with autism.
