SCRUTINY RESERVE AND THE EU REFORM TREATY (6 December 2007)

Motion Details

That this House notes the conclusions of the European Scrutiny Committee's Third Report, HC 16-iii on the European Union Intergovernmental Conference; further notes the recommendation of the Committee for a debate on the EU Reform Treaty before it is signed; further notes the provisions of Standing Order No. 143 and the Resolution of the House of 17th November 1998; and insists that the Government arranges such a debate on the floor of the House on a substantive motion before the proposed signature of the Reform Treaty on 13th December.
