PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
SUSTRANS' CONNECT2 BIG LOTTERY PROJECT (15 November 2007)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates Sustrans' Connect2 project on reaching the shortlist of the Big Lottery Fund's The People's £50 Million contest; recognises that it is an exciting UK-wide project that aims to improve local travel in 79 communities by creating new walking and cycling paths for every day local journeys; notes that by building bridges and new crossings over barriers such as busy roads, rivers and railway lines, Connect2 will promote sustainable travel by connecting millions of people to the places they want to go; and urges the public to vote for the project in The People's £50 Million Lottery Giveaway public vote.
