300th ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNION (29 April 2007)
Motion Details
That this House notes that 1st May 2007 is the 300th anniversary of the Act of Union between England and Scotland; believes that the 300-year partnership has been a phenomenal success; further believes that this anniversary provides an excellent opportunity to proclaim the great British values of democracy, freedom, fairness and tolerance that have made this country great; and resolves to do everything possible to strengthen the Union for the future.
