PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY (7 February 2006)
Motion Details
That this House notes that cerebral palsy is the most common form of physical impairment among children, with 1 in 400 children under five developing cerebral palsy each year; regrets that despite Scope's calls no protocols are in place to enable a joined-up and responsive approach to service planning and provision for children with cerebral palsy; and calls on the Government to establish national standards of service provision, including best practice and early intervention, for children with cerebral palsy to enable them to achieve their full potential.
