PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
RAIL STATION SAFETY (31 January 2006)

Motion Details

That this House notes with concern recent cases of violence and personal attack at train stations across the country; further notes with concern Department of Transport statistics which show 33 per cent. of public transport users were concerned about crime on public transport; and urges the Government and rail operators to take action to ensure the safety of train users by installing better lighting, CCTV and having more staff at stations in the evenings.
