PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
STATEMENTS BY IRANIAN PRESIDENT MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD (12 December 2005)
Motion Details
That this House notes the recent comments by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denying the Holocaust and calling for a Jewish state to be set up in Europe and for Israel to be removed from the Middle East; notes that this latest comment underlines very serious concerns about the Iranian regime and gives serious offence both to the State of Israel and to the survivors of the Holocaust; observes that this latest outrage comes only a few weeks after President Ahmadinejad called for Israel to `be wiped off the face of the map'; urges the Government, working with the United Nations, to take immediate condemnatory action against Iran, through a resolution of the Security Council; and warns the Iranian President that any further such statements will have significant consequences for Iran.
