PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
NATIONAL PROBATION SERVICE (22 November 2005)
Motion Details
That this House supports the work of the National Probation Service in England and Wales; believes that probation is a viable national service; believes that a properly resourced Probation Service should function in partnership with the private, voluntary and not for profit sectors rather than be in competition; and therefore urges the Government not to franchise or privatise all or part of the tasks of the National Probation Service.
