PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
MACMILLAN CANCER RELIEF WORLD'S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING (10 October 2005)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates Macmillan Cancer Relief on organising the world's biggest coffee morning on Friday 30th September; recognises that schools, businesses and community groups across the UK all held coffee mornings to form part of the world's biggest coffee morning; further recognises that Macmillan Cancer Relief, as with all cancer charities, is an extremely important charity and one which many people have come into contact with at some stage in their lives; and pays tribute to the organisers of the coffee morning who helped raise much needed funds which will be channelled into funding essential information and counselling centres, specialist Macmillan medical staff, buildings for cancer treatment and care, as well as grants for people with cancer who are in financial difficulty.
