SMOKING AND BLINDNESS (9 October 2005)
Motion Details
That this House welcomes the research which shows definitively that smoking at least doubles the risk of loss of sight and will result in thousands of smokers going blind; notes calls by the Royal National Institute for the Blind for an awareness campaign on this issue; and urges the Government to undertake a publicity drive to inform smokers of this additional serious health problem associated with smoking.
