PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
GOVERNMENT CONSULTATION ON SIKH ISSUES (11 July 2005)

Motion Details

That this House notes and welcomes the establishment of the first All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for UK Sikhs, which has been set up to represent within Parliament and with the Government the interests and concerns of the UK Sikh community and to provide the Government and the UK Sikh community with a better two-way consultation process to inform improved decision-making on issues which impact on the UK Sikh community; and encourages the Government to acknowledge formally its enthusiasm to work with the APPG for UK Sikhs to tackle issues of concern to the Sikh community.
