CROWN WOODS SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRLS' UNDER-15 FOOTBALL CUP VICTORY (19 June 2005)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates Crown Woods Secondary School's under-15 girls' football team on winning the Peter Hills London Cup; congratulates The Charter School for reaching the final and the other 34 teams that took part in the competition; notes that the Peter Hills London Cup was started in recognition of the growing popularity of women's football, which has been further demonstrated by the record numbers of people attending matches in this year's women's European Championships; further notes that Greenwich Borough is home to Crown Woods School and Charlton Athletic who won this year's Women's FA Cup; recognises that this victory is a major achievement for Crown Woods School and for girls' football in the borough of Greenwich; and wishes the team every success in future competitions.
