PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ANIMAL WELFARE (14 June 2005)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes the inclusion of the Animal Welfare Bill in the Government's programme for this session and supports the principle of the welfare offence which provides a duty of care towards animals; notes the horrific case last year of three neglected horses with hooves more than fourteen inches long; and urges the Government to introduce its Bill as fast as possible so that animals may be given greater protection.
