PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
ISRAEL (16 May 2005)

Motion Details

That this House is deeply concerned by the continuation of illegal settlements in occupied Palestinian territory and the continued construction of the security wall through Palestinian land; reminds Israel of her obligations under international law and the many United Nations resolutions of which Israel remains in breach; and believes that a peaceful settlement cannot be achieved without a significant change in Israeli Government policy, failing which the British Government should call on the international community and fellow members of the European Union in particular to consider the imposition of economic sanctions on the Israeli state.
