PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AND BBC 1 (16 May 2005)

Motion Details

That this House notes with sadness that the National Anthem is no longer broadcast on BBC 1 at the end of each day's main programming; believes that the broadcasting of the National Anthem on BBC 1 is a proud tradition that should be restored; and calls on the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport to encourage the BBC to reinstate this convention immediately.
