PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
PROSTATE CANCER AWARENESS (26 November 2003)
Motion Details
That this House notes that prostate cancer causes around 10,000 deaths annually in the United Kingdom and believes that the number of deaths could be reduced if men knew more about the disease and sought help at an early stage; welcomes the initiative of the major prostate cancer charities and organisations in launching the Prostate Cancer Charter for Action; recognises that much more could be done by the Government to increase research when it comes to this most common form of male cancer; and calls on the Government further to raise awareness of this condition as it is committed to do in the NHS cancer programme of 2000.
