ETHIOPIA AND ERITREA (12 January 2004)
Motion Details
That this House deeply regrets past conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea and the consequent loss of a large number of lives; recognises the role of the UN and the Organisation of African Unity in bringing the parties together and the establishment of a boundary commission to resolve the border dispute; accordingly commends the UN Security Council letter to Ethiopia requesting it fully complies with the Commission; and calls on the Government to use all its endeavours to promote a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
