PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
VODAFONE MAST (5 February 2004)

That this House notes with concern the proposals by Vodafone to locate a telephone mast on Quaker Brook Lane in Hoghton which would have a direct impact on the local environment and village life being located extremely close to houses; recognises the need for telephone masts given the large number of mobile telephone users; but calls on Vodafone and other mobile telephone operators to increase the use of shared masts and to attempt to locate masts away from properties and in areas which will not infringe upon local communities and their environments.
