STRICTER SENTENCES FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY (19 April 2004)
Motion Details
That this House notes the increasing number of cases of cruelty to animals coming before the courts in Northern Ireland; also notes that in one recent case a resident magistrate complained that he was unable to impose a more strict sentence; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to review the sentences and penalties available to the courts to deal with this type of crime.
