FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL 2004 (14 July 2004)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates all those involved in organising and supporting Farnborough International 2004, the world renowned showcase for aerospace equipment and technology; congratulates the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) on offering a superb business platform and excellent environment in which to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the global aerospace market; notes that Britain's world class aerospace industry will be well represented at the show, demonstrating the range and scope of one of the country's most important high skill, high technology manufacturing sectors; applauds the Society of British Aerospace Companies on encouraging technology transfer and market growth via the incorporation of a space and a motor sport pavilion into this year's event; praises the SBAC for hosting a careers and development centre at the show to promote the recruitment and development of a world-class aerospace workforce in the UK; and congratulates the SBAC and participants on providing a great day out on the public days of the show, with air displays and an excellent choice of family entertainments.
