PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
BASC/ACPO AIRGUN SAFETY CAMPAIGN (13 November 2002)

Motion Details

That this House applauds the recent initiative by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation in commencing a project to provide safe conditions for the training of young people using air guns; champions the Airgun Code of Practice that has recently been implemented with the aid of the Association of Chief Police Officers; realises that the success of this initiative depends on communication between the police force, schools, community leaders, and those in education to prevent misuse; and recognises that a secure and well monitored environment is crucial in teaching young people how to use airguns safely.
