PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
COUNTRYSIDE AGENCY (10 December 2002)

Motion Details

That this House acknowledges that social exclusion is a harsh reality in rural areas; congratulates the Countryside Agency on raising awareness that poverty is increasingly prevalent in rural areas; recognises that unemployment, low income, inadequate housing and amenities and isolation makes life difficult for many in the countryside; and calls on the Government to recognise this publicly, and take urgent action to alleviate and eradicate these problems.
