PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
CARERS' RIGHTS DAY (2 December 2002)

Motion Details

That this House welcomes Carers' Rights Day on 3rd December and the 250 events which will take place across the UK on that date as local organizations team up with Carers UK to provide vital information to carers; pays tribute to the seven million people in the UK who look after someone who is sick, frail or disabled with such dedication; notes that many carers work more than 50 hours per week; and calls on the Government to ensure that arrangements are in place to provide carers with adequate respite.
