PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
CHANNEL TUNNEL LINKS TO THE NORTH WEST (28 November 2002)

Motion Details

That this House notes the important role the North West economy plays throughout the UK and across the EU and that the North West is one of the largest regions in population terms in the UK; recognises the inadequate rail links serving the North West through to Europe with no direct rail link through to the Channel Tunnel; and calls on the Government to press for a direct rail link for both passenger and freight transport in order to help promote and support North West business, employment and the region as a whole.
