leave out from 'House' to end and add 'congratulates the people of Jammu and Kashmir on their commitment to democracy; recognises that the terror unleashed in the valley has resulted in the deaths of more than 800 persons during the election period; applauds the Election Commission of India for organizing the recent elections which have been widely recognised as being free, fair and inclusive; notes the findings of a MORI poll commissioned by Lord Avebury in April which reflects that 61 per cent. of those polled believed that an end to cross border infiltration across the line of control will help to bring peace in the region; and supports any initiative taken by India and Pakistan to find a solution to the dispute by way of peaceful and meaningful dialogue.'.
