PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Church Action on Poverty Declaration (4 December 1989)

That this House welcomes the launch of the declaration, 'Hearing the Cry of the Poor', by Church Action on Poverty; recognises that it has support from the whole spectrum of the churches in Britain and is endorsed by many leaders of the different Christian traditions and organisations; understands that it is rooted in the personal and pastoral experience of the churches with, and alongside, the poor in our society; and urges all to endorse the declaration as a basis for action.
