PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
Security of 10 Downing Street (29 November 1989)
Motion Details
That this House shares the concern that the Prime Minister's residence, 10 Downing Street, should be properly and adequately secured, and is also concerned that on the evening of Tuesday 28th November there were twenty plus South Korean secret service men parading up and down Downing Street, with the full support of the Prime Minister's security guards, when five honourable Members of this House were obstructed from delivering a letter of protest to the Prime Minister, objecting to the visit to the United Kingdom of Korean President Roh Tae Woo, who continues to imprison and torture Koreans as a means of oppressing his political opponents.
