PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
BT DEMERGER (15 October 2001)

Motion Details

That this House notes with concern that following the successful bid of ú9.2 billion for 39 mobile telecommunications licences in the UK and Germany, BT is planning to demerge its mobile business; and believes that BT needs to take due consideration of the views of its employees in relation to the likely effects of splitting up of the UK's largest and most economically important telecommunications provider.
