PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
WELSH SELF-GOVERNMENT AND THE BRITISH LABOUR PARTY (8 January 2002)
Motion Details
Leave out from 'wholeheartedly' to end and add 'welcomes the reaffirmation by Labour members of the founding values of the party; recognises the pride Labour members have in the history of the party and its achievements in Government, includng devolution for Wales; notes that Honourable members of the Plaid Cymru - the national party for Wales - have little to be proud of since its foundation; and notes that certain members of that party have, in the past, embraced neo-fascist ideas and that today, the nationalist party of Wales is utterly confused on the future of Wales and unclear whether it seeks independence, full self-Government or national status for Wales.
