PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
FUNDING FOR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES (26 February 2002)

Motion Details

That this House congratulates Mind on the launch of its 'My Choice' campaign with its emphasis on the provision of a range of treatment choices for those with mental health problems and the involvement of users in decisions about their care; notes the current widespread concern that promised Government funding is not reaching front line mental health services and that the Government mental health targets will not be achieved; and demands that the Government makes mental primary care practitioners receive the training they need and a range of services is available, so that choice may become a reality.
