PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
OIL INDUSTRY EMPLOYMENT (30 January 2002)
Motion Details
That this House welcomes the success of government policy in reducing unemployment but expresses concern about the loss of jobs in oil related work such as happened recently in the constituency of Central Fife at the oil rig construction yard in Methil; and calls upon the Government to do everything possible to encourage re-deployment and job opportunities in areas affected by the loss of employment in the oil industry.
