PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
CONDUCT OF THE HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR HEREFORD (25 January 2002)
Motion Details
That this House deplores the fact that the Member for Hereford continues to suggest that the SAS base is within his constituency; and notes that at a meeting attended by Brigadier Fry, the Commandant General of the Royal Marines it was not before the intervention of the member for Taunton and East Devon in whose constituencies respectively lie the base of 40 Commando and the Commando Training Centre that he admitted that the SAS base was outside his constituency; and believes that his attempt to take credit by association for the courage and bravery shown by our servicemen is unworthy.
