PARLIAMENTARY EARLY DAY MOTION
REDUNDANCY PAY ú250 CAP (21 May 2002)
Motion Details
That this House supports the Amicus AEEU campaign to lift the ú250 statutory cap on redundancy payment calculations; recognises that it is far too easy for multi-national companies to make British workers redundant rather than their counterparts in Europe; and urges the Government to lift the cap in order to properly compensate British employees and deter companies from making redundancies in the United Kingdom.
